What started in 1973 with Van Dam Houtprodukten, grew into a powerful collective of specialized companies including Europly and Drooghout Gendringen. As of 2025, we will continue as Gendis. Start of Drooghout Gendringen and Europly Woodproducts

Start Timber Trade Gendringen

March 2003

Large fire 23 drying rooms destroyed

August 2003

Restart Drooghout Gendringen with 8 conventional drying chambers

2004

Expansion of drying capacity with 8 conventional and 8 steam chamber

2007

Sales trading branch Houthandel Gendringen & Europly takes over processing operations

2017

Expansion of drying plant with 8 high temperature chambers

2021

Expansion of drying plant with 4 high efficiency chambers

2024

Mr. E.M. Jansen is retiring his son Tom Jansen joins as general director.

Drooghout Gendringen and Europly Woodproducts are merged under the new name Gendis

Gendis is Europe’s largest drying plant with a capacity of 100,000 m³ per year. We dry your wood quickly, efficiently and environmentally friendly. We are also specialized in the use of Heat Treatment against pests.
